Saperavi Rosé 2008 Teliani Valley

This is very deep rosé, almost a light red, with aromas of summer berries and redcurrant.  It’s a dry and fairly “grown up” rose from pure Saperavi made with just a short skin contact. It is best enjoyed only gently chilled at around 13 to 14 degrees C to allow it to show its pure fruit flavours. Sealed with a screw cap for maximum freshness. Enjoy this as an aperitif with nibbles, or with pasta, roast vegetables and chicken dishes.

Mtatsminda

This semi-dry rosé is made from a blend of 80% Rkatsiteli and 20% of the inky Saperavi.  The juice was separated from the grape skins after just a few hours giving an enticing, vivid rose pink colour.  There are hints of strawberry jam on the nose while the palate is softly sweet with strawberry and caramel notes and undertones of fresh redcurrant.  Serve well chilled with seafood, salads and soft cheeses or enjoy with spicy oriental dishes.

Telavi Saperavi Rose

A bright salmon pink rosé, made from 100% Saperavi, picked early in the cool of the morning.  The pale pink juice has been run off after a short skin contact of around 12 hours then vinified like white wine at controlled temperatures to focus on fresh strawberry and peach flavours. Best served chilled at around 6-8 degrees C. A lovely aperitif or match with summery lunches.
